Winyah Air is looking to hire an A&P Mechanic for their location in Georgetown, SC . The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft airframes, engines, and related systems to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect airframes, engines, and components for wear, damage, or defects Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per manufacturer and FAA guidelines Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems Remove, install, and test engines, propellers, and related components Complete and sign off maintenance logs and required documentation Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections Ensure compliance with FAA Part 43 and Part 145 regulations Coordinate with pilots, inspectors, and other maintenance staff Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment All other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance EDUCATION REQUIRED High school or equivalent PREFERRED Previous experience with the Pilatus PC-12 Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman's Certificate. Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Medical Certificate. Avionics or NDT (non-destructive testing) knowledge Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Ability to meet all FAA requirements and approval for the Director of Maintenance Designation. Ten (10) plus years' experience in aviation maintenance supervisor positions. At least 10 current years' experience in commercial aviation maintenance leadership. Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certificate. Inspection Authorization (IA) license preferred.
